WP1: Training Process in Firms
Existing documents and reports on the challenges and measures taken by companies in connection with Covid are collected.
Semi-structured qualitative interviews will be conducted with representatives of the OdA, training companies and VET learners (30-40 interviews).
A short standardised online company survey will be conducted, targeting VET trainers (randomised by training, occupation, company size, number of trainees).
WP2: Demand and Supply of Apprenticeship Positions
Centre Suisse de services Formation professionnelle (CSFO) with open apprenticeship positions.
Yousty is an online apprenticeship platform with data on search queries by apprenticeship type (from August 2018 - August 2024).
The FSO data is based on a complete survey of participation in education in Switzerland (at all levels of formal education).
WP3: Educational Trajectories and Labour Market Entry
LABB data linked to AVAM and ZAS surveys (Federal Statistical Office and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs).
Sample population:
- Cohorts starting vocational training during the pandemic (2020-2022/3).
- Cohorts starting vocational training before the pandemic (2015/6-2019).
